At Muse for Life in Sandy Springs Atlanta, we give private & group music therapy sessions for individuals who suffer from dementia. Dementia is a loss of brain function that affects memory, thinking, language, judgment, and behavior. Most types of dementia are degenerative, menaing that they are nonreversible. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. Dementia symptoms include difficulty with many areas of mental function, including: language, memory, perception, emotional behavior or personality, and cognitive skills (such as calculation, abstract thinking, or judgment)

The early symptoms of dementia can include:
